His works have explored crucial events in the political and social history of Singapore. Among them were two Singaporeans: filmmaker Jason Soo and doctor Ang Swee Chai, widow of exiled lawyer Francis Khoo. The film features brief portraits of the group, including an Israeli ex-air force captain, an Algerian journalist, a Swedish singer and a Malaysian academic.
